The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He evaluates and tests cleaning equipment, focusing on mopping and robot vacuum combos. These multitaskers are an excellent option for those looking to cross mopping off the to-do list. Some models have superior mapping capabilities and obstacles avoidance. Some wash and refill mopping pads themselves to ensure a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you should select if you're looking for an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than other models, making it more maneuverable in tight corners or under furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers one of my top navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery which lasts up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery in mid-clean.

It's extremely fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen and hallways in just one sweep. Its suction motor of 8,000pa will quickly pick up sand, dirt, and pet hair. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it encounters rugs and the dual side brushes help draw out dirt from corners.

The mopping performance, though still impressive, isn't as effective. The mop rotates at a high speed and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scraping away dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms extend out a bit more than other robots, which can be helpful for getting into tight corners and on baseboards. The same front arms can be employed to clean up larger debris, like broken toys or books.

Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've ever tried. It is quieter and doesn't produce as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It is simple to install, and it works well. However, if you are buying this robot vacuum for mopping purposes it is important to be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It has a robust suite of features that make it an ideal option for homeowners looking for an extremely efficient, flexible, and customizable cleaning machine.

The device is equipped with an efficient cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the house and also find furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean efficiently and effectively. This leads to an efficient, consistent clean that is also quite fast.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach a variety of surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards and other difficult to reach areas. The side brush can be stretched out to reach the floor near to the walls and other fixtures. The mop pads can also be washable and can be dried to reduce odors and prevent buildup.

Another notable feature is the customizable options available via apps. The Q Revo allows you to alter the strength of suction and choose between a back-and-forth or slightly more random patterns. You can also choose the number of passes which determines how fast it can move around your home. You can even choose to disable the side brush to prevent damaging carpets and rugs.

The device has a high price tag but comes with a large selection of advanced features. It is important to remember, however, that the device incurs regular expenses, such as mopping equipment and regular maintenance. For instance the brushroll has to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter must be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad must be replaced every one to three months.

This robot vacuum that mops has a high rating on Amazon and comes with a wide array of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also comes with an energy button that doubles as the 'Clean button' as well as a 'Home' button to send it back home after cleaning. It also has a multifunctional dock that automatically empties the trash bin and refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home neat without spending too much time doing chores. It is a powerful machine with intelligent navigation, and long battery life that makes it easy to keep your home clean with little effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop that is, it can do both vacuuming and mopping. The robot is divided into two modules that include a dry bin as well as a water tank that can be snapped in and out and a mopping module that includes an elastomer pad. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping however it does mean you don't need to worry about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.

Our testers found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. Its best feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it employs when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option of setting 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers that help to keep specific areas of your home from being cleaned with mop.

We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up hair of pets. It was able to collect the majority of hair that our cats shed, and even was able to get into the nooks and crannys of our stairs, where other robots struggled. It was fairly silent and also had a few lovely jingles to indicated when it was beginning or completing its task.

budget robot vacuum  was too easy and you had to switch the modules every time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app can't store multiple maps, which can be a problem if you have a home with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a excellent choice for those who are looking for a smart device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that can be found in our review, however it comes with some unique features that make it worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni is most notable for its huge dock that serves as a charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses a 2.5-liter dust bin and an 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.

The base has several control buttons that allow you to manually start a cleaning task or recall the robot, or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Hold down  vacuum bot  to turn off the child lock which is a great option for parents concerned about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to identify obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will steer clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at recognizing objects.

This can cause the X1 to get stuck if it is entangled in a hazard, such as the power cable that is draped over a rug. It won't work until you untangle it manually. While this was rare but it was a very frustrating experience when it happened particularly since the X1 Omni does not have an "stuck" status alert on its app.

The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during cleaning. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad however, mopping pads don't get cleaned or dried between uses. This can lead to mildew and mold.

On the bright side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad. It's a major departure from the utilitarian, black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing view in a market that is dominated by bulky boxes and clunky models.
